DAY 0 TRAVEL DAY
Fly from the US to Edinburgh, Scotland. Please let us know if you would like us to arrange a day or two extra in Edinburgh before the trip (recommended).
Optional Add-on 1: Love golf? Enjoy a day or two in St. Andrews, the birthplace of golf and home to the Old Course, site of the first recorded golf game in 1553.
Optional Add-on 2: Arrive a few days prior to the trip and explore London. You would then take a train from London to Edinburgh.

DAY 1 EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND
Our trip kicks off with a guided walking tour of Edinburgh, followed by a guided tour of Edinburgh Castle. We'll then have some free time to explore Victoria Street, Dean Village, Calton Hill, Stockbridge, or do either a Gin Distillery tour or the Johnny Walker Whisky Journey of Flavor tour!
We'll enjoy a fabulous, gastronomic welcome dinner (wine included).

DAY 2 INVERNESS, SCOTLAND
With our trusted driver-guide, we'll head into the Scottish Highlands. On our way to Inverness, we'll see Stirling Castle, the majestic Kelpies, and Cairngorms National Park.

DAY 3 SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS
We've got an enjoyable day ahead with a visit Culloden Battlefield, site where the 1745 Jacobite Uprising was put to a tragic end. The results of this battle are still felt today! Next we'll visit Clava Cairns, a beautifully-preserved prehistoric site transporting us to the Scotland of 4,000 years ago. In the evening, we'll enjoy a guided whisky tasting in the land that invented whisky (so say the Scots)!

DAY 4 SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS & SKYE
Will we see Old Nessie? We'll take a wee cruise and give it our best shot. Make sure you take your eyes off the water long enough to enjoy the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle! As we journey to Isle of Skye, we'll make a stop at the famed Eilean Donan Castle.

DAY 5 ISLE OF SKYE
We have a full day to discover and explore the Isle of Skye. There is much to see here, including the Old Man of Storr, the Fairy Glen, the storybook village of Portree, the Fairy Pools, Lealt Falls, and Kilt Rock.

DAY 6 OBAN, SCOTLAND
Leaving Skye, we'll make it to the village of Armadale on our way to see Fort William and Glen Coe. Next we'll see the Glenfinnan Viaduct, affectionately called the "Harry Potter Bridge" on our way to the village of Oban.

DAY 7 GLASGOW, SCOTLAND
As we head to the city of Glasgow, we'll make a stop at Trossachs National Park. Arriving in Glasgow, we'll have a walking tour and then a free evening.

DAY 8 SCOTLAND TO IRELAND & GALWAY
This morning, we'll catch a flight to Dublin (price not included, but usually less than $100/person). Our Irish driver-guide will pick us up at the airport and whisk us to the ancient ruins in Boyne, and then to Trim Castle as we make our way to the absolutely charming village of Galway.

DAY 9 GALWAY, IRELAND
Galway makes a great starting point for today's visits to The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. Free evening in Galway.

DAY 10 KENMARE, IRELAND
Today we head out on one of the world's most beautiful routes, the Wild Atlantic Way and head through the Dingle Peninsula on our way to gorgeous Kenmare.

DAY 11 KENMARE, IRELAND
From our prime position in Kenmare, we'll explore the Ring of Kerry, which includes the villages of Killarney, Beaufort, and Killorglin (among others), and the sites of Ladies View, Torc Waterfall, and Muckross House (and more). We'll even get to see a sheepdog demonstration and hopefully hold some baby lambs!

DAY 12 KINSALE, IRELAND
Next stop: We'll see Blarney Castle. Perhaps you'd like to kiss the Blarney Stone and receive the gift of gab? We'll spend some time in Cobh and perhaps also the town of Cork. There are many optional activities in Cobb and Cork, including the Jameson Distillery in Cork and the Titanic Experience in Cobh. We'll then make the colorful fishing village of Kinsale our home for the night.

DAY 13 DUBLIN, IRELAND
We embark today on the last, but certainly not least part of our journey, the Irish Capital of Dublin. On our way, we'll stop at the Rock of Cashel. Tonight's dinner will be at a traditional Irish Pub!

DAY 14 DUBLIN, IRELAND
This morning we'll have an expert Dublin guide take us on a walking tour. We'll also enjoy the Book of Kells Experience with our visit to Trinity College. We'll then have a free afternoon to visit the Guiness Storehouse Experience, go to the Gin School, shop, or enjoy any of the hundreds of fun experiences Dublin offers.
We'll toast a fond "Sláinte!" to our time in Ireland and Scotland with wine (or Guinness) included as we say farewell to the Emerald Isle and each other.

DAY 15 DEPARTURE
Today we return to the US out of Dublin Airport. Dublin has US Customs pre-clearance, so when you arrive back in the US, it will be the same as landing on a domestic flight.
OPTIONAL ADD-ON 1: Stay an extra day or two in Dublin. There is so much to see and enjoy!
OPTIONAL ADD-ON 2: Want to see Northern Ireland? Ask us about our post-trip extension to see Belfast, Giant's Causeway, and the Antrim Coast. You would then fly home from Belfast.

*The single supplement is a cost increase paid by solo travelers booking a room to themselves. Hotels charge the same amount per room, regardless of whether the occupancy is a single or a couple. S² firmly believes that group travel is the absolute best way to travel, especially for singles! If you are traveling alone and would like us to try and find someone to share a room with you, let us know! We do not mark up our single supplement!

S² trips may include walking tours, which you are free to join or to skip. If opting out of the walking tour, your travel director will give you excellent alternatives. These may include cafés or wine bars to soak in the atmosphere of the city or the location of mini-trains that can take you on a riding tour of the city (when available and at an additional, minimal cost).
Saints & Sages is committed to helping guests of varying mobility enjoy and experience Europe. That said, in Scotland and Ireland, guests do need to be able to walk moderate distances sometimes with uneven, cobblestone surfaces and will likely need to navigate steps.
